Roo the dog-kangaroo lives just on her back legs

Roo the puppy

The five-year-old puppy named Roo from Northumberland lives just on her back legs. She has earned respect and admiration of people from all over the world. The habit to jump on her back legs is not an inborn talent of the adorable thing.

Roo was born in street in Romania. It got an inborn disorder. Roo had no one front leg. Homeless life brought a lot of difficulties to the rescue puppy. She underwent an attack of a dog in which the other front led was also lost. It’s obvious that Roo would have not survived alone in the street in winter. But the fortune has turned to the poor puppy. She was found by a charity organisation “Safe Rescue for Dog”.

There it learnt to hop and bounce like a kangaroo and got the present name Roo. The talented and lively puppy quickly earned love and interest of tourists. And soon one couple fell in love with the cute thing. Nikki Dick, a 50-year-old nurse, and her husband Ian, a 52-year-old firefighter, adopted Roo and took her to their home in Northumberland.

We’ve fallen in love with her, how could you not? She’s such a little star, Nikki admits.

Roo doesn’t know any different to hopping on her two back legs but she still laps up all the fuss from people who always stop and do a double take when they see her because they think she is a kangaroo.

She’s perfectly happy and pain free and vets are very happy with her progress.

Every month Roo has special treatment as a part of her rehabilitation scheme. Hydrotherapy helps her to feel comfortable on her back feet.

VOLGANGA appeals to everyone to treat animals with care and kind attitude. They are alive and feel all the pains just like us. They are children of the Nature. Let’s make this world kinder and more beautiful together.
